Health Insurance for the POOR
Are you considered to be a poor person? My husband and I have been lucky to experience a taste of outstanding medical insurance, due to his military involvment. However, he is getting honarbly discharged and all of that is about to be taken away. For the past 5 years I have not worried one time about medical insurance and now I am looking high and low for a deal that is even remotely similar. It is not present!! I talked to my husband about this briefly and he brought up an interesting point which is that the new insurance in America is called CREDIT/DEBT. People are not equipped with the insurance that they need because it is such a costly feature. So the majority of American’s just wait until there health is really poor, and then go to the emergency room for treatment. The problem with this is that they do not have the financial ability to pay for the bill, therefore, they begin the debt that will only grow because healthcare is only getting more and more expensive. Then you tack on children and spouses, this is when things really get out of control money wise. It is a sad situation that our health industry has become almost like a retail situation because if you do not have the money then you do not receive the same treatment as someone who is financially secure.

Very good job with this. And to make matters worse, when people DO finally go get treatment, if they go to the ER, they can’t receive the treatment that they need, because the ER is not set up to do that sort of thing well.
Good luck in your insurance hunting. I hope you find something!
